2018 has seen Chasing Deer releasing a single a month, each helping to highlight the role sign language plays in so many peoples’ lives by sporting a cover with the song title being communicated by hand gestures. 22nd November sees the culmination of their efforts with a gig with a difference at London’s Bush Hall – one which will be fully supported so that the deaf community are involved at every stage, from welcomers at the door to signers at the bar and merchandise stall (not to mention on stage).
With the in-house sound attuned to allow the vibrations of the band to be picked up as easily as possibly by balloons help by audience members, this promises to be a show that strips down barriers to allow Chasing Deer’s music to be experienced by all. The gig also signals the launch of their album, “Hands On”, an 80s-infused collection of pop gems.
Chasing Deer are creating a real buzz with their catchy and upbeat pop songs, through writing, performing and living music full-time in London. The band have covered the UK and Europe over the last three years in over 900 live performances, including supporting festival slots for UB40, The Pigeon Detectives and Feeder. 2018 has seen Chasing Deer perform at The Royal Albert Hall, The Houses Of Parliament, Trafalgar Square for Pride In London and performing to the President of Kenya at the Kenyan International Music Festival.
